NEW BAUHAUS MUSEUM / WEIMAR, GERMANY

Instead of being just a museum, it is developed into future city's playfield it connects, it is a transcription of motion into an urban gap of multifunctions...rest, play, observe, walk... Its ambivalent function is a goal...Process of being 'on' 24/7 It grows towards the city by its antennas, it searches the gaps, it leaks into the surrounding space. its goal is to explore and to invite.

We stand that composing an 'ether' aspect is an upcoming architecture and we use it to describe its dematerialisation… It defines a floating effect of space. it has direct communication with the big park... First, it represents park's extension in its lower plan, and then it develops more important visual communication with the old town by its outer space galleries and belvederes in upper levels... We tend to accent its existance by exceeding the surrounding heights, but not to dominate the area. We intend to provoke an inner city's dynamics, to add a new rhythm into this rather calm city, by composing basic elements, avoiding any direct formal or 'style' pretext / raw composition. Therefore de-composition as a proces, an overlap of spatial traces into a multilevel agglomeration, a spatial mechanism instead of a mass; a 'bauspiel', a series of elements in accumulation...

The issue is to treat 'the space as a whole' not an object itself. at final, it is an accumulation of sketches of city gaps, a series of surprises and discoveries. therefore, a range of the museum domaine gets wider in its influence...
